Associate Accountant
We are looking for an Associate Accountant to join a specialty insurance company built on experience. This position will be responsible for various tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivables, expense report processing, journal entries, reconciliation, research, and month-end close. While this position is remote, candidates located in the Dallas Fort-Worth area are strongly preferred.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Process the Company’s accounts payable
- Record and pay expense report activity
- Prepare and Reconcile Premium Cash Receipts
- Assist with various journal entries
- Prepare and record cash deposits
- This position will interact and collaborate with other departments regularly
Other Essential Duties include but not limited:
- Prepare journal entries for daily and monthly financial transactions to the general ledger
- Reconcile and prepare detailed reconciliations of Company’s balance sheet accounts
- Maintain procedures for assigned tasks and update periodically as controls are implemented
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of a major general ledger system
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently, self-directed, and takes initiative
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent preferred
- Two years of accounting experience including full-cycle AP or equivalent combination of education and experience
Disclosures:
Pay Estimate: $45,000 - $65,000/year
Other compensation: annual incentive program
