Associate Accountant
We are looking for an Associate Accountant to join a specialty insurance company built on experience. This position will be responsible for various tasks including accounts payable, expense report processing, journal entries, reconciliation, research, and month-end close. While this position is remote, candidates located in the Dallas Fort-Worth area are preferred.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Process the Company’s accounts payable.
- Record and pay expense report activity.
- Assist with various journal entries.
- Recording of Premium Cash Receipts.
- This position will interact and collaborate with other departments regularly.
- Prepare journal entries for daily and monthly financial transactions to the general ledger.
- Reconcile and prepare detailed reconciliations of Company’s balance sheet accounts.
- Maintain procedures for assigned tasks and update periodically as controls are implemented.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of a major general ledger system.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Takes initiative, self-directed, and able to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent preferred.
- Two years of accounting experience including AP or equivalent combination of education and experience.
